Commercial/Procurement Manager - Cement (7-15 yrs)
Our client is a leading cement manufacturer in India.
Designation: Commercial/Procurement Manager
Location: Rajasthan
Salary: up to 25L per annum
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor Development:- Developing long-term partnerships with local & foreign suppliers; managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery and quality norms.
Consistently evaluating vendor performance to ensure adherence to predefined specifications and supply of quality material / execution of job works. Visiting various shop floors across country and doing Vendor evaluation.
The Position also Involves Negotiation, Vendor Mapping and Evaluation, Finalization of Rate Contracts and taking care of all Legal and Statutory Compliance.
Contract signing and issuance. Risk Analysis and safeguarding Company's interest.
Conducting pre-bid technical meetings with vendors, contractors, consultants & owner to resolve technical issues so as to ensure that bids from all the competitors are at par with each other for comparison. Use E-bidding.
Monitor the cash flow by collecting & consolidating cash flows of individual contractors/consultants and update the cash flow requirements on regular basis.
Keep in touch with global best practices in commercial areas across industry to act as a knowledge hub and provide expert guidance on the same with the purpose of adoption of best in class processes at our group businesses
With increased expectation of quality deliverables from customers it is an imperative to develop and build a high performance team with the right talent and to motivate the team to peak levels of performance.
Candidate will ensure that a high performance team culture exists at management Service Division and will define training needs for team members to enhance the skill level of the team
Negotiate with Insurance Agencies and get the best cover for all types of risks
Ensure effective implementation of identified and agreed improvement areas. By continually tracking implementation status of company's initiatives at units/ businesses with a view to realizing identified gains for direct bottom-line improvement and /or systems efficiency gains.
Desired Candidature:
Candidate should be having minimum 20 TO 30 Years of Experience in relevant profile.
However candidate from cement industry would be more preferred, but if not cement industry then any large engineering manufacturing industry background also will be acceptable.
