What this role entails:

- Subject Matter Expert on all things tax and compliance - Should be able position Cleartax as a thought leader in Tax and Compliance Content

- Writing, editing and publishing articles across national and regional level media

- Writing opinion driven articles to advise on financial planning and tax savings

- Understanding and analyzing income tax trends across the industry; Should be able to understand the target customer's persona, needs and problems etc.

- Writing and editing content for collateral like blogs, newsletters, videos, product descriptions, social media posts, E-Books and more

- Developing web content and new ideas of presentation for company and partner website pages - Writing key messaging for all marketing channels (social/email/web)

- Working directly with industry leading publications and corporates to share important tax advice and product updates

- Work Smart, Work Fast - Turn around quality content pieces in very short space of time

- Consistently reviews existing content, identifying sections that need greater depth

Conduct competitor site content reviews to identify improvement opportunities

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 3-4 years of relevant experience. CA is ideal/preferred. Experience in journalism/communication/media is a Bonus

- Good understanding of income taxes, direct taxes and indirect taxes

- Ability to break down complexities and make content simpler to understand

- Grammar Nazi. Proofreading skills coupled with analytical bend of mind.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, precise and engaging copies.

- Work on a tight deadline

- Ability to work independently and deal effectively with ambiguity

- Understanding of SEO and how online content relates to it

- Familiarity with different social media platforms

- Willing to learn and work in a startup
