Role Outline/Job Summary The role of Assistant Vice President - Strategic Information Solutions group is based at GDM COE Bangalore Center and reports to the Site head. Job Description POSITION TITLE:- Assistant Vice President - Strategic Information Solutions Grade/Level:- C12 BUSINESS GROUP:- CSIL-GDM FUNCTION/GROUP:- GDM DEPARTMENT:- GDM LOCATION:- Bangalore A.- ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Business/ Department Objectives:- The role of AVP - Strategic Information Solutions group is based at AAS- Bangalore Center and reports to the VP leading the team. The key requirement for the role is the ability to understand the business, develop data-driven solutions to address business problems and independently manage end-to-end project communication with business partners, mentor junior analysts, lead by example etc. and display a proactive learning attitude. We are looking for Self-motivated individuals who are comfortable working in bigger teams. A flexible, positive and mature mindset to deal with ambiguities of complex business problems is a must. Core Responsibilities:- Lead the Cards SME group that would work across APAC markets Activities involved include: - Hands on in the project development while leading the team - Developing new ways to look at the Cards business models, develop insights, present logical flow of business challenges using data for regional use - Have a strong acumen in Cards and other Assets products - Rationalization of MIS - Standardization of metrics and templates - Creation of new reporting requirements ( Regional and Global Reporting ) - Process Automation and Enhancements that can be handed over to Country BAU teams for periodic production - Design and Development of Self Service Business Intelligence Capabilities - Own regional / business engagements from COE Day-to-Day Responsibilities: The Cards SME lead is expected to: - Be a direct interface of the team with the various stakeholders - Be directly accountable for flawless execution and delivery on meeting the reporting requirements - Continually identify opportunities for advancing the reporting capabilities through process automation and enhancement - Manage / Mentor a team of Analysts, Senior Analyst, Principal Analysts in the delivery of respective projects - Design and development of MIS / Data Management activities Financial/ Budgetary:- No Individual Contributor (IC)/Managerial Key Deliverables: - Design and development of MIS / Business reporting,Data Standardization Processes across markets through a consistent - common framework- that will enable the Regional business leadership to drive revenue growth - Writing functional specifications of business requests and getting business sign off - Own and lead the development of data dictionaries through country teams - Project Management: On-time delivery and quick TAT, multi-task and manage multiple projects independently and helps junior analysts deliver, provide technical / non - technical guidance as required - Automation of BAU, develop self-service solutions and deliver business value, set-up best in class in-house support - Communication: Effectively communicate strategic considerations with team, partners and senior management. - Share best practices across SIS groups and implement best practices, drive data and analytics solutions - Presentation of results to business partners and COE senior management - Relationship Management: Interact regularly with Partner leadership to set and manage expectations aligned to group capabilities and work to deepen existing relationships. Percentage of Travel:- No Relocation:- Yes Other:- (Technical) Established competency in the following: - 8+ years of relevant work experience with extensive knowledge of MIS & Data Management principles and Information Systems development, with particular emphasis in the use of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures - Career must evidence the following experiences Program managing MIS/Report development, Data management activities Previous experience in similar roles - Handling large volume of data, Advanced SAS is must Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies - SAS, SQL, UNIX, COGNOS, VBA, Automation etc (Business) - Good exposure to Financial Services businesses especially Cards and other Assets - Possess and apply sound decision-making disciplines - Good project management skills and leadership potential - Excellent influencing skills and People Orientation - Strong English language presentation and communication skills - Be able to engage with staff up to the most senior levels within an organization, and to communicate complex technology in a business centric way B.- QUALIFICATIONS Required Education:- Master degree in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premier institute.
