The Business Entity;

The Finance team is developing a Center of Excellence (CoE) in India for FP&A. Leveraging the strong FP&A talent pool in India, CoE would initially develop the reporting and analysis capabilities and eventually the forecasting and planning capabilities, so as to create productivity as well as enable richer business relevant and dynamic analysis for finance team and business partners. CoE initiative is just another example of the increased importance that finance team is placing on leveraging India as a critical site for overall benefit of finance and Cisco business in general.

Team Description:

The Cisco Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to support Cisco's newly formed Global FP&A Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, the analyst would work as part of a service centre function supporting annual forecasting, planning, periodic performance reporting, and decision analysis for the Finance organization.

Role & Responsibilities:

Generate reports, analyses and models as requested by the business to support the overall process regionally and globally

- Prepare and disseminate timely and accurate financial information to allow the business to plan, forecast, and make decisions using controlled, consistent data

- Takes full ownership of and accountability for on-going reports providing validation and supporting documentation to business partners as required

- Track open PO, GL and A/P details for group analysis of spending against budgets and reporting in monthly metrics

- Perform budget scenario analysis to be used for decision making and approvals.

- Track & manage organizational headcount & resources

- Identifies potential opportunities for process improvement to CoE leadership

- The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail, and collaboration and communications skill

- Self-starter & fast learner, with the ability to acquire & understand business & finance models/ processes/systems

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS degree in accounting or finance with 6+ years of relevant experience

- Strong analytical skills & attention to detail, with an eye for identifying ways to improve processes

- General financial understanding a must (periodic performance reporting, yearly and quarterly opex budgeting and planning, and month-end accounting)

Desired Skills:

- Strong systems and tools skills; including Business Objects, Fin BI Essbase (Fetch), Oracle, CMMC, I Procurement, Access, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
