Circle Chief Financial Officer - Telecom (10-18 yrs)

Role title: Head of Finance(Circle CFO)

Reports to: Business Head (Circle)

Role purpose:

- The Head of Finance of a circle plays the role of a strategic business partner and advisor to the Business head and Commercial function in the circle.

- He/She is responsible to develop, deploy and maintain all necessary financial controls systems and processes.

- He/ She would interface regularly with peers and other members of circle senior management team to ensure all elements of finance operations are of the highest quality, accuracy and maintain standards as defined by the company.

- Monitoring the performance of the circle and providing regular insights with analysis that identifies risk and opportunities and recommending changes as required.

- Providing circle with clear financial focus on revenue enhancement and profit improvement and assisting in the implementation of strategies.

- Circle with complex business mix of Postpaid, Enterprise, 3G, WiFi, devices and large own retail footprint this role would require managing these complexities and drive efficiency with respect to operations and investments

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Review Business Plan as per the Corporate guidance and market realities

- Analyse revenue, expenses and cash flow to guide business and achieve goals.

Strategic Partner and advisor:

- Plays an active role in market facing strategies and strife for achieving a balance between revenue and EBITDA

- Plays a key role in ensuring that the investments with respect to data, retail are managed optimally.

- Drive cost control initiatives to improve cost efficiency.

- Finance participation in all new Business initiatives/streams - Mobile money, Terminal and Dongle

Risk and Compliance Management:

- Strong processes and systems in place to identify any revenue leakage and safeguard company assets

- Ensure compliance to local laws and Company policies.

- Ensure 100% HSW compliance amongst all the vendors and Finance employees.

Measuring/Monitoring/Reporting of business performance:

- Implement systems and procedures to monitor business trends. Bring to notice of the business head and corporate function of any disturbing trends.

- Ensure the integrity and completeness of the trial balance utilizing concept of accrual accounting, timely reconciliations, provisioning, and consistent with accounting policies and practices as amended from time to time in the Group Accounting Manual

People Development:

- Create an environment conducive for people development and career progression.

- To take lead and drive national projects

Key performance indicators :

- Delivery of Circle GSR and EBITDA targets.

- Develop effective control and governance processes.

- Partner business head strategically to enhance performance and efficiency.

- Improve People Survey Scores.
