Key Accountabilities :

Accountability Cluster :

- Support to execute the Industrial Relations strategy & framework by partnership with business and other HR sub-functions to maintain harmonious industrial relations

Major Activities / Tasks :

- Provide all necessary IR support for Industrial Relations strategy, periodically assess the IR health of all manufacturing units and distribution depots and prepare report.

- Data Support provision for union negotiation mechanisms to ensure collective bargaining with unions.

- Coordinate with HRBPs to understand union issues and organising their training to eliminate industrial relations issues

- Record the observations collected from different sources on union activities to develop industry intelligence

Accountability Cluster:

- . Execute and provide support for employee related disciplinary proceedings, grievances, litigations and legal issues in order to maintain harmonious employee/industrial relations

Major Activities / Task :

- Support (coordination with experts, making draft and other documents etc.) HRBPs to manage all employee disciplinary issues in accordance with defined service rules (integrity issues, assault, insubordination, false reporting, and misleading information etc.)

- Check, follow up and periodically audit of various vendors of contractor to effectively manage the contract labour related issues

- Support to manage grievance redressed mechanisms as per the defined Cipla policy (also define and review existing policies as applicable)

- Attend hearings on behalf of Cipla for the legal issues/ litigations arising out of disciplinary actions or terminations to ensure appropriate closure

- Tracking of all the legal / court cases and co-ordinating with advocates.

Accountability Cluster:

- Managing the Cipla Employee Provident Fund trust to ensure the collection, maintenance and disbursal the PF amounts to Employees as per the EPFO guidelines

Major Activities / Tasks :

- Filing paperwork and manual compliances like challans /returns as per the Employee Provident Fund Organization guidelines

- Deducting the PF contribution from the employee salaries/wages on monthly basis, remitting them to the EPF fund through notified banks.

- Consolidating all deductions made on a monthly basis and returns to be submitted to Regional Provident Fund Organization.

- Managing the online EPF portal that provides easy employee access for loan requests and withdrawals

- Processing of every new employee in the system

- Facilitating annual/periodical inspections by authorities that cater to the field and non-field employee compliances (Labour Commissioners/ Factory Inspectors/ ESIC-EPFO Directors etc.)

Accountability Cluster :

- Monitoring and managing the Compliance Management Tool to ensure constant revision of, and absolute adherence to the compliances

Major Activities / Tasks :

- Regular inspection of listed compliances to ensure that any amendments are not overlooked

- Daily checking of the compliance management tool to address any pending queries, escalations or requests

- Maintaining the records/certificates of all the centrally managed contractors in the system to ensure that

- Keeping constantly in touch with the compliance in-charge at the site/depot/field to ensure amenability to the set rules and see to it that the tool is updated regularly at their end for non-conformities, requests or warnings

Accountability Cluster :

Liaising with the different government (labour ministry) departments to ensure smooth operation of business within the set industry principles

Major Activities / Task :

- Registration/ certification etc. of the centrally managed contractors

Accountability Cluster:

- Statutory compliance's & Liaising for Mumbai establishment, India Business locations and other associate organizations.

Major Activities / Tasks :

- Support to business teams to ensure appropriate compliances and to resolve the IR issues.

- Ensure updating of new amendments in various laws / rules, notification in updated in compliance's.

Accountability Cluster:

- . Ensuring the compliances on POSH as per the provision of status.

Major Activities / Tasks :

- Extend support to conduct refresher floor walks / training at every manufacturing site including associate companies once a year

- Co-ordinating with external NGO member to ensure proper investigation and compliances

- Support ICC team in investigation of case.

Experience : 7 years in Industrial Relations/Compliance Specialist role
