The CANDIDATE will establish and direct the strategic long term goals, policies, and procedures for the IT department and determines the company's long-term systems- needs, as well as, software and hardware acquisitions that support the accomplishment of the company's business objectives.  The position will provide the leadership for developing and implementing IT initiatives that are cost effective improve the organization's service quality and support business development. The CANDIDATE will lead the organization in planning, adaptation and implementing enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized business operations and achieve more cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations. The individual should be seen as an astute Business Advisor, being able to understand next generation technological strategies & adoptions of in- demand applications. This position will be responsible for aligning technology strategy with business strategies  Experience and Background:  - Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, engineering or related field is required. Master's degree in either of these fields or Master of Business Administration preferred.  - Having spent a minimum of 18 -20 years- in Logistics/Retail/Financial Services industry in a leadership role.  Strong Knowledge on ERP/ Mobile/Web Technology & Infrastructure Technology is a mandatory criteria for this position.  Previous CIO or significant divisional IT leadership experience is required.
