Job Description
This is a key strategic role designed to strengthen the Technology profile of the organization. Formulating strategies, leading the Technology Change, managing the Technology roadmap / standards / frameworks, providing support to product groups to define the solutions architecture, providing sales support on architecture / technology, reducing technology risks of projects and assimilation of new technologies into mainstream development are the key responsibilities.
- Understands global market trends and it's impact on business
- Keep abreast of technological developments to ensure high systemic discipline & prevent technological obsolescence.
- This would include managing functional applications & technology with a clear mandate to apply & use best practice tools.
- Drive the solutions & technical architects development program
- Continuously strive to increase the technology sharpness index of the organization, by developing the competency & capability of the technical team in the organization.
- Assess and provide IT strategies for the business, organize IT initiatives to deliver business strategy and handling projects related to IT initiatives
- Define the technology roadmap & strategy for technologies that the organization is focusing on & to ensure that they are aligned with their growth strategy.
- Continuously evolve & upgrade the technology landscape & advise top management about timely investments in appropriate new technologies that can bring the paradigm change.
Desired Profile
- Education: IIT / IIM - Computer Science
- Experience range between 5 - 10 years with a maximum age of 35 years old
- Software / Product Development for New Age Companies. Exposure to Healthcare sector would be of added advantage.
- Exposure to development methodology in all phases of software development life cycle, to quality standards such as CMM / ISO is highly desirable.
- Must demonstrate the ability to support aggressive business build up and expansion activities
- Should have outstanding track record of consistent performance with an innovative and non-conventional approach
- Should have good knowledge of technology trends and understanding of product development.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Balanced combination of strategic and operations focus
- Commitment to result orientation and target deliverables
