We are looking for a dynamic individual who is hands-on and has high quality diverse experience in the tech domain. The individual should be self-motivated with a passion for technology and would like to be part of an energetic team. This is a great role for someone who wants to be involved during a critical stage in development of an iconic, e-tailing jewelry brand. This position reports directly to the Director.

Key Responsibilities :

- Responsible for the technical architecture, code quality, performance, security and scalability

- Responsible for managing the entire front end and back end operations of the eCommerce site.

- Establishing technical vision, leading all aspects of technology, through development and deployment of the e-Commerce applications and web presence.

- Manage all e-commerce technology platforms including the strategic planning, development, and support of all Web Initiatives.

- Identify technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or hamper the success of the business

- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development and deployment of all web-based services

- Establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization's resources are used responsibly

- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs

- Identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation

- Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and servers

- Lead the development of high-traffic sites

- Manage projects, timelines and releases

- Provide visible leadership to the company on the technology front

- Establish technical standards and ensuring adherence to them for company operations

- Would be continuously developing/exploring new technology avenues.

- Would be managing and guiding a team on the software development and engineering platforms.

Preferred Qualification :

- B.Tech from premier engineering college (IIT, NIT, or other Tier 1 institutes)

- 8-10 years of experience leading a technology team

- Must have worked in leadership role

- MBA from a recognized university

Essential Skills and requirements :

- A technocrat having hands on experience on eCommerce/ Internet/b2c start up technologies, pro in coding, team management skills.

- 8 to 10 years of experience in architecture and deployment of e-Commerce applications in retail e-Commerce business with hands on exposure to the latest Commerce Server Applications preferred.

- Deep technical knowledge in architecture and infrastructure.

- Proficiency in designing and developing complex internet applications & assessing and evaluating alternative solutions plus experience in building scalable multi-channel software solutions.

- Proven achievements in strategic planning at the enterprise level aligning technology with business objectives resulting in efficient, high performing teams, producing predictable results

- Ability to interpret technology & market trends as a foundation for roadmaps

- Experience in Web-based, portal deployments, custom/3rd party interface techniques

- Familiarity with Internet protocols, standards, DBMS and revision control systems

- Exposure to business theory, business process development, governance, management, budgeting

- Experience in building and maintaining distributed systems at scale.

- Incorporate SEO and ASO (App Store Optimization)level optimizations in the web and mobile based products respectively

- Advanced capability to manage and direct website technical structure, design & aesthetics, navigation, information architecture, security and performance

- Front-end experience will be added advantage

- Ability to identify technology trends and evolving customer behavior that may support the success of the business.

- Highly experienced with Internet technology platforms and tools.

- Team leadership experience of working with developers and designers on a regular basis.

- Strong management skills, Interpersonal Skills, Time Management Skills and analytical skills with strong problem solving abilities.

- Experience of working with senior executives / management team in providing professional and sound advice.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms at all levels of staff.

- Experienced in following languages: PHP, Java, C++, Go, .NET, Ruby, Python.
