Role:  - Drive development of strategy for the group and each of the businesses  - Support businesses in preparing annual operating plan  - Provide staff support for evaluation of new business opportunities/investments  - Develop key performance measures for each business unit  Work experience: 10+ years business experience  - 5+ years experience in strategy consulting, or in strategy group of a large industrial company in a senior role  - 5+ years experience in industrial businesses  Education: MBA from a top-tier institution  Competencies required:  - Exceptional strategic thinking and analysis capabilities  - Good understanding of steel and power businesses  - Excellent written and oral communication  - Strong ability to drive small high-performing teams  - Drive development of strategy for the group and each of the businesses  - Set aspiration for the group and for all business  - Conduct market analysis for each business, to identify key trends and attractive opportunities  - Work with businesses to develop strategy comprising  - New initiatives with clear business case  - Key success factors  - Long-term financial forecast  - Implementation plan  - Organization required to deliver the strategy  - Translate long term strategy into business plans  - Review and challenge annual operations plans prepared by businesses  Shape business development:  - Identify, evaluate and develop white-space opportunities  - Advise businesses on where to focus their business development efforts, e.g., which geographies, which sub-sectors  - Provide staff support to businesses for evaluation of new opportunities  - Manage deal (M&A) processes and major transactions  - Support Group Council in reviewing performance of businesses against their business plan on a quarterly basis
