Chief Social Officer - Rukkamma - IIM/IIT/NIT (1-8 yrs)

About the role: Rukkamma is a non-profit organisation (registration pending) which aims to provide a platform for merit students who need and deserve help. The platform provides help to these students in form of finances and guidance provided by donors and volunteers registered on the platform. It is currently focusing on students from South India (with plans to cover rest of India) and donors from India and abroad.

It is in its earliest stages of starting up (platform is yet to be built), and is also on the lookout of a manager/leader/Director to lead the entire company. It has been founded by Rajeshwar Prasad, who had been previously involved in such non-profit work in an offline mode. 2 girl students from Andhra Pradesh/Telangana are currently studying in educational institutes of their choice and befitting their talent, thus demonstrating the need of a much wider platform for more number of students.

It is supported by global PE firm Idein Ventures. It is also supported by some amazing entrepreneurs of India including co-founder of BuildTraders Ranjeet Gakhare.

Requirements:

1. Create a mission and vision statement that is shared with others in order to provide unity within the organization.

2. Create 6 months and 1 year target to be followed by the organisation in the coming future

3. Create a financial plan as well as managing finances of the organisation

4. Documentation of new policies, decisions and filing of documents to create an organizational memory in the archives.

6. Serving as a representative of the organization while attending community and charitable meetings.

8. Leading and managing the organization ensuring that organisation is on track towards its mission

9. Making sure that programs and activities are being laid out efficiently and as effectively as possible. Ensure that the activities implemented are of good quality and relevant to the mission and vision of the organization.

10. Recruiting, leading and managing technical, legal and operational team members and volunteers to help run the organisation

Skills:

1. Having good knowledge regarding rules and policies of government agencies, tax and others and ensuring the organisation follows those regulations

2. Knowledge and previous experience of working in NGOs, especially related to education, is preferred.

3. Graduates from prestigious institutes, such as IIT, NIT and IIM, are preferred. Social entrepreneurial experience is also preferred.
