Chief Operating Officer - Education

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE:

- A management professional with strong acumen in sales and marketing functions

- Must have handled P&L and full operational responsibility for an independent business unit including strategy, sales, marketing, HR and finance functions

- Should have the ability to independently construct business plans based on products, markets, targets and budgets.

- Must be substantially familiar with semi-urban and rural markets

- Experience in the education industry would be an advantage

- Focus on the growth of revenue, profitability and delivery

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- Must have strong entrepreneurial instincts and be a hands on manager

- Must have excellent people skills and ability to provide positive and proactive leadership

- Must be process driven and have the ability to define and drive processes within the company

- Must have excellent oral and written skills and presentation abilities.

- Visionary who can think and articulate short-term, medium-term and long-term business plans along with the drive to execute them

- Ability to develop clear road map for the company

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Would manage the operation of all functions of the company to deliver on short and medium term business plan targets including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, inventory and logistics

- Must oversee and support the sales functions for the school and college channels

- Develop and manage marketing plans including innovative BTL activities for each channel/product line of the company

- Manage the launch, product life cycle, pricing, channel and promotional strategies for all products in the Indian market in alignment with organizational objectives

- P&L responsibility and sustained growth.

- Manage and oversee the entire Indian operations

- Leadership to increase the present operations and improve efficiency.

- Build the team and help them in their growth within the organization

- Ensure a performance oriented culture.

- Deliver key financial metrics and manage budgets.

EXPERIENCE:

10+ Years of Exp of which at least 5 years as head of a business unit or product line

QUALIFICATIONS;

MBA from a reputed institute
