Operations and Maintenance Management:

- Be responsible for managing and growing the Drilling Operations within India and overseas

- Plan the entire Drilling program, including all Rig moves etc. for the Fleet of Onshore Rigs of the Company.

- Be the “Champion” for the QHSE aspects for the Drilling Ops and the crew. Ensure development of a strong HSSE culture as practiced in the leading Drilling Contracting Companies internationally.

- Track performance of rig/project, service company performance, operational problems, equipment failure reports, QHSE issues and lessons learnt.

- Should have strong capabilities of Developing and Implementing robust Systems and Processes as applicable to the Drilling Contracting Industry to ensure a Safe and Efficient Drilling Operations and maximizing uptime.

- Ensure Operation and Performance policies and procedures are implemented on the rig.

- Provide thought and support in pre-planning of equipment and personnel requirements for drilling operations and prepare Operations/POB/Crew Change Look Ahead charts.

- Participate in HAZID and HAZOP reviews by providing expert advice related to the Company’s rigs and well operation performance standards.

- Provide Technical Leadership to the Drilling Team for the existing and all new builds

- Ensure the upkeep of the fleet of Rigs by proper maintenance planning together with the VP-Drilling and the Maintenance Head

- Be responsible to develop the Budgets for the Drilling Operations

- Should be cost conscious and have a strong ability to keep operating costs within budgets.

- Provide Technical and Techno-commercial Inputs for all new drilling business activities that the Company intends to expand into

- Meet with client on a regular basis to support effective drilling and completion performance

Client Relationship:

- Act as the prime client contact as required regarding all drilling service provision related matters and ensure all contractual provisions are duly met.

- Pro-actively monitor and evaluate client concerns for effective resolution

- Assist in business development to current and potential clients both in India and overseas

People Skills:

- Ability to lead and manage team a team of 20 at Gurgaon and about 400 field based personnel, both in India and overseas.

- Ensure people training and development and succession planning

Financial Management:

- Responsible for Preparation of and subsequent management of the Operations and Maintenance Budget annually and quarterly

- Ensure ownership of Revenue and Cost budgets having a very high degree of awareness and discipline of working within Budgets

- Strong operational focus is the essential and key element

- Must have hands on expertise in managing systems, process and controls

- ERP based system exposure is essential

- Must have good technical. analytical, number-crunching and budgeting & MIS skills

- Business approach (not just operational knowledge) is desirable

- Effective planner

Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualification - Graduate Engineer

Years of experience - 15-20 yrs plus experience where major and current role should be in managing the Drilling Operations with an International Company (min. 5 yrs.)

Industry experience - Oil & Gas Drilling Contract Industry experience is a must
