Position : COO  Reporting to the Chief executive officer (CEO), the COO will have both internal and external facing responsibilities, ranging from client and project management (business development, framing of key approaches, high-quality client delivery, written products) to administration (information technology, reporting, facilities), and human capital (HR/recruiting, mentoring, career progression).   - The CEO and VPs will partner closely with the COO to chart future growth and strategic response to an ever-increasing demand for the organization’s services.  Job Responsibilities:  Project Development, Management, and Client Relations/Management:  - Structure and lead teams to deliver outstanding client work.  - Build and maintain strong client relationships.  - Represent company in group conferences, professional associations, and other public venues.  - Develop thought leadership around specific topics/emerging practice areas.  - Share in knowledge dissemination, reporting, and communications.  Organization Building, Strategy, Vision and Leadership:  - Partner with the CEO in essential internal firm leadership activities (human resources, administration, and organizational planning).  - Identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities.  - Mentoring, coaching; visible, approachable sounding board/resource  - Advise key members of senior management on financial/business planning budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.  - Serve as the management liaison between different department of the company  - Contribute to the development of the company strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.  - Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CEO informed of all critical issues.  - Coach senior management team to implement the strategic plan  - Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation  Team Development:  - Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance, HR, Admin, Business development and operations teams.  - Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.  - Ensure employees receive timely and appropriate training and development.  - Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.  - Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach  Qualification and experience and other attributes:  - 15+ distinguished years in a senior management position preferably in a KPO industry  - Highly intelligent, advanced/MBA degree from a leading university  - Track record delivering superior results, commanding respect, and assuming leadership roles  - Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities  - Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor  - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people – junior and seniors  - Operates with excellence in mind in all matters, with the confidence to defend/debate ideas without ego interfering  - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential  - Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in organizational settings  - Transparent, direct, with substance  - Self-starter, self disciplined  - Spark, imagination, creativity  - Remain focused in the face of pressure, delivers against timelines, not intimidated by tasks/time limitations
