Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategies:

- Formulate growth strategies and vision for the organization

- Define mission and road map to realize the vision.

- To scan global business scenario and develop long term and short term strategic plans.

- To develop mechanisms and monitor implementation of new systems and process improvements

- To continuously benchmark for best technology, processes and practices in the industry to ensure that the Plant and processes are continuously improved.

- To strategize for effective manpower utilization and productivity, including reduction in manpower cost & planning for capability development

Operations:

- Develop and present strategic and annual business plans for approval .

- Implement strategies, making major corporate decision, managing operations and resources of the company in the most efficient and effective manner to achieve company’s objectives.

- Making key decisions for products and services, differentiators, corporate communication.

- Develop and implement Risk Management Plan.

- Ensure appropriate internal audit procedures and processes are in place.

- To review quality issues, variance from the standards, investigating the corrective and providing inputs for corrective actions.To set standards and norms for the Manufacturing and Maintenance functions, and review performance against the same.

- To plan for the plant and machinery downtime reduction and approve the maintenance and production plans in line with the same.

Improvements and Technical Upgradation:

- To lead benchmarking studies for new technology and changes in the processes, and lead the implementation of the same in the organization towards improvement of current processes.

Organization Development:

- Ensure that there is a fit between strategy & culture, and company’s processes and structure.

- Leadership role in establishing and developing company’s culture and values.

- Manage, motivate, develop and lead the members of the Management team.

- Ensure that there is a succession plans in place.

New Opportunity Identification:

- To map business scenario and emerging opportunities to identify new avenues for growth.

- Sourcing of new mines and minerals resources, both in India and globally.

Compliances, MIS and Reporting:

- To ensure that all statutory compliances are met, and create a review mechanism for them

- To provide MIS to the Board on the operations, and performance against various operating parameters.

Managing Environment:

- To manage the competitive intelligence gathering system to get critical competitor information for benchmarking and effective decision making

- To manage and influence supportive government policy formulation for the benefit of industry

- To ensure that the organization and its programmes, products and services are consistently presented in strong and positive manner to the relevant stockholders, creating positive image.

Health and Safety:

- To maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures for the Plant.

- To ensure compliance to OHSAS and ISO standards

- As a part of Central Safety Committee, drive Safety across the company

Employee Management:

- To recruit and manage a talented and motivated team including line managers, supervisors and operators

- To ensure meaningful engagement of the team, plan for manpower for the department, ensure effective utilization of the manpower, and make recommendation for hiring and/ or reducing headcount

Other Responsibilities:

- To periodically review the performance of the Shops on parameters of productivity, quality and delivery.

- To continuously interact with internal teams to ensure that the production lines are not stalled due to raw material shortage/ quality, maintenance or other such issues.

Note:

- Currently in similar role.

- Turnover of present organization more than 1000 cr.

- Preferably from a listed company
