Chief - Manufacturing Operations - Auto/Mfg

Directs and controls all Manufacturing operations of the Company to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively

Oversees management of all areas of manufacturing to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. (Responsible for overall Cost & Profitability of Manufacturing Operations)

Leads the operation and maintenance staff, the daily management and coordination of all of the plants operations including production, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with all labour, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations.

Needs to keep abreast of latest developments and world class manufacturing practices to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position

Is responsible for the Safety of Employees & Assets of the organization

Directs and assists Plant Heads and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short- range planning, policies, programs and objectives.

Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards, consistent with established manufacturing and safety standards.

Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.

Implements and Initiates productivity improvement tools like TPM, TQM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Practices, quality circles, etc.

Controls and manages multi-locational factories and be an overall in charge of some of the factories.

Ensures manufacturing performance and quality goals are met. Is overall responsible for the final Product

Availability across plants as per the market Demand and to meet the Budgeted volume.

Direct and control the Manufacturing function to ensure that finished goods of the required standards are available to internal stakeholders within agreed costs at the right time.

Contribute to the development of the Company's corporate strategy and lead strategy development in the areas of production, purchasing and distribution to ensure that the business objectives are met. This also involves developing necessary policies and procedures.

Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained at all units.

Establishes workflow and assembly methods to maximize efficiency of manufacturing operations.

Plans and directs the purchase, maintenance, and layout of equipment.

Ensures compliance with current country-wide and local regulations. Ensure harmonious Industrial Relations

Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.

Directs and advises various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).

Initiates and coordinates major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).

Bring innovation in technology. Technological up- gradation and facilitating product development.

Setting quality bench marks and develop system to ensure 0 internal failure

Liaison with marketing and service for field feedback and take corrective action to ensure manufacturing failures are minimized

Liaison with R&D for new product development, design changes etc.

Advice Management on Technology Selection, expansion of plant capacity and ensure implementation

Streamlining operations in all the plants and bring Standardization

Education : Engineering Graduate (Automobile/ Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering)

Full time MBA
