Essential Technical requirements/experience :
- Associate/Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in Insurance industry.
- Good knowledge of the IRDA norms and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Knowledge of MS Office.
Desirable requirements/experience :
- Knowledge of Risk function in Indian life insurance market
- Reporting and Audit experience - Managing a team and generation of reports
- Knowledge of Accounting software - ORACLE ERP
- The incumbent should be a person who is proactive in taking responsibilities, requires minimum guidance, capable of managing teams and mentoring other
- Confident in their dealing with senior management and Board members
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure timely implementation and maintenance of Internal Control Framework
- IFRS/ Ind AS readiness
- Ensure timely verification of all the assets
- Publishing the risk tracker with mitigates
- Monthly review of all the balance sheet items and reconciliation process thereof
- Closely handling all the control and clearing accounts
- Insurance of all the assets and claim recovery
- Managing quarterly Audits and closure of all queries well within time
- Highlight weak areas and strengthen control
