Purpose:
- To engage/direct team efforts in using various data analysis/mining tools and techniques for designing framework and logic employed in extracting meaning full inferences for decision making from data based on needs of Marketing / CRM / Surveillance/ Trading and other departments.
- To contribute to the business excellence endeavours of the organisation as a process excellence advisor and member of focus group. To manage and lead cross departmental projects for data analysis for the purpose of decision making.
It is an Individual Contributor role and reports to the Head of Marketing & Data Analytics.
Key Responsibility:
Inter-departmental data analysis needs
- Understand data analysis needs of departments and suggest/provide solutions readily available when contacted by the departments.
- Suggest/take up projects for development of new capabilities to cater to business needs of departments.
- Coordinate with various departments for the data collection and analysis for the purpose of decision making.
Data modelling & Development of hypothesis for Fraud detection / customer segmentation and profiling:
- Lead the team to check and define workflows, set processes and ensure smooth functioning of the department.
- Coordinate and conduct structured discussions and exercises to formulate a plan to serve the request from the user.
- Resolve escalations and solve problems (technical or nontechnical) to ensure quality delivery.
- Coordinate with other teams, clients and internal colleagues to ensure quality delivery of requests.
- Contribute in designing new logic/framework for data analysis/mining in the areas of fraud detection/customer segmentation and profiling.
- Coordinate with consultants/ technology teams for solutions.
Adhoc data analysis needs of various departments:
- Resolve escalations and solve problems (technical or nontechnical) to ensure quality delivery.
- Check and define workflows, set processes and ensure quick delivery of requests of routine nature.
- Coordinate with consultants/ technology teams for solutions.
Management of Cross departmental projects
- Coordinate with various team/ departments for business needs in order to manage and lead the cross departmental projects.
- Coordinate with consultants/ technology teams for solutions.
Business Excellence endeavours
- Contribute towards business excellence activities of the exchange as a process excellence advisor / member of the focus groups.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential: MBA (Finance)/ M. Sc (Statistics) /Engineering PG with working knowledge in statistical techniques
Role Requirements
- Understanding of the financial and capital market is a must.
- Understanding data analysis/mining tools and techniques
- Working knowledge of data mining softwares.
Experience:
Essential: 12- 14 years experience in the financial space including banks, BFSI or financial institutions.
Desired: Relevant experience in the Business Intelligence Role.
