Chief Financial Officer - Mid Sized Firm

- Act a business partner to the CEO to guide and build value in the company

- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

- Set up the systems and processes with the help of the middle and senior management

- Determine the direction of the business by working with upper management and leading team members to create and implement strategies and goals

- Take the lead across all aspects of the company by reviewing how departments work together to reach company goals and by coming up with fresh ideas that will set the company apart from competitors

- Establish internal control processes required to manage and grow the business, ad bring in efficiencies

- Anticipate and correct potential problems in advance

- Consult with investors and outside entities to decide which direction the company should go

- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

- Define the corporate financial strategy, manage financial capital and communicate capital requirements/ implications of business decisions to CEO and BOD

- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

- The role would include following, along with the above :

FINANCIAL INFORMATION :

- Oversee the issuance of financial information

- Personally review and approve all Forms

- Report financial results to the board of directors

OPERATIONS :

- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team

- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems

- Implement operational best practices

FUNDING :

- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

- Arrange for debt and equity financing

- Invest funds and pension funds

RISK MANAGEMENT :

- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry

- Construct and monitor reliable control systems

- Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors

- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
