Chief Financial Officer - IT - Trivandrum - 80-85 LPA CTC

Location - Trivandrum, Kerala

1. Complete responsibility of Finance, Accounts and Banking functions for the whole Group and oversee the Legal function too.

2. Lead the Annual Budgeting process for the Group to take it beyond just the numbers; develop financial strategies and resource plans in alignment with the same, creating action plans

3. Lead the preparation of any long range business plans and strategic action-plans and facilitate their implementation in coordination with the top management team

4. Arrange to prepare and report periodic Financial statements to the CEO and BOD

5. Lead the performance variance analysis with respect to Budgets, Forecast & Plans, by distilling the Business reasons from the numerics and providing handles and leadership to the concerned Managers to initiate corrective action especially on cost control and revenue enhancement

6. Active contributions in the Monthly Business performance reviews to help the company align itself with the Budget and strategic plans

7. Manage and drive the accounting and control processes related to statutory Audits efficiently, resolving any issues smoothly, so that all Audits are completed on schedule on a positive note

8. Implement (IT) systems and processes to provide critical financial and operational information, accurately and efficiently

9. Maintain excellent banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners and leverage them

10. Manage the tax - Direct and Indirect tax positions of all the companies to ensure that the tax position of the companies are optimized, ensuring timely compliances and no penalties

11. Manage to provide personally and/or through his team, regular advice through analytical and costing inputs on any potential customer orders or RFPs

12. Provide a holistic view on key business decisions with financial implications

13. Besides being responsible for all financial reporting to the Board, shall maintain regular interaction and functional alignment with the Chairman on various matters, initiatives and recommendations

14. Work with HR & Legal teams to ensure overall level of statutory and legal compliance is of the best order

15. In line with the CEO & BOD's vision, establish and maintain good governance practices across the company, from the shareholder level downwards.

16. Lead any future fund-raising or investor-exit exercises by : (i) collecting all necessary information and preparing Information Memorandum documents (ii) create his network and leverage his relationships with the investor and financial community (Silicon Valley focus) (iii) support the CEO in any investor dealings and Road-shows as required (iv) manage any and all due diligence processes related to this activity

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

1. Reports to: Group Chief Executive Officer

2. Qualification: MBA Graduate from a premier Business School; additional ACA/CPA/CMA preferred

3. Experience: 15-20 years of relevant industry experience

4. Age: Around 40 years

5. Work Experience :

- Of the total years specified, should have independently handled the total Finance & Accounts function of a medium sized company or medium sized independent business unit in India or overseas for at least 7-8 years (say, in his last one or two assignments)

- The work experience can be industry non-specific, but strong preference for persons who have worked in Technology companies, reputed MNCs in FMCG or core sector ; or very good process-oriented service industry

- Should have had some international exposure - operating in Multi-Entity, Multi-location and multicultural working environment

- Any stint in Business-Unit management would be advantageous

6. Special Skills & Personal Qualities

- Excellent leadership skills; strong but affable personality

- Exhibits high energy levels; team player ; relationships man

- Is proactive in his approach ; excellent planning & execution skills

- Good overall financial and commercial skills - MUST have a good balance of business and financial acumen

- Possesses a good network with the wider investment and financial community; preferably has experience in Silicon Valley financing & managing exits

- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mind-set and problem-solving qualities

- Hands-on person, willing to dirty his hands but at the same time be a strategic thinker alongside the CEO
