Chief Executive Officer - eCommerce Business (10-15 yrs)

Head of E-Commerce business (10-15 yrs)

Roles & responsibilities :

- Own, manage and execute business initiatives across eCommerce function

- Ideate and develop business cases and investments required for each of the new initiatives in the E-Commerce space

- Incubate and Develop the business for each of the initiatives

- P&L leader: Own and drive top line for the eCommerce vertical

- Build and manage a team of focused experts to build the eCommerce value proposition

- Manage market intelligence, potential alliances and competitor analysis

- Manage margins through effective pricing and promotional activities

- Lead development and execution of strategic business plans for the Group in ecommerce ecosystem

- Collaborate with other business units for business planning and to drive growth in eCommerce

- Produce and present frequent budget and forecasts that feed into the fiscal governance structure

- Create, present and execute marketing plans demonstrating specific activities to ramp up growth

- Manage senior stakeholders to authorize incremental spend through clear ROI justifications

- Serve as primary point of contact across the group to test and implement eCommerce initiatives

Work experience required :

- 10 to 15 years of overall professional experience

- At least 5 years of experience in core eCommerce or eCommerce ecosystem in B2C or B2B

- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role (technology or operations)of an eCommerce company

- Candidate should have founded or participated in the setup of an ecommerce firm; or

- Candidate should have joined an eCom firm at a strategic position within first year of operations

- Candidate should be an active participant across eCommerce events in the country

- Strong understanding of FinTech ecosystem and models in India

- The candidate should have experience/ understanding of different revenue models in the E-commerce space such as E-Tailing/ Fin Tech/ E-Classifieds/ Subscription models/Lead generation models

- Deep understanding of E-tail logistics/ Market place operations

- Proven leadership of large eCommerce projects and expertise on eCommerce industry practices

- Should exhibit team spirit and ability to lead large and diverse teams towards a common goal

- Right balance between execution (transactions) and ideation (strategy)

- Knowledge of eCommerce technology platforms

- Operational understanding of financial frameworks and budgeting

Expected qualifications :

Graduation : Technology or Finance

Post graduation : Business Management or Technology focus, preferred from Tier 1 institutes

Other requirements : Industry profile in E-commerce

The successful candidate will :

- Be willing to relocate as per business requirements

- Be mobile and open to extensive travel for setting up the new line of business (LoB)

- Entrepreneurial in nature and capable of setting up the LoB bottom up

- Possess outstanding analytical skills and strong expertise in interpreting results and deriving insights

- Possess excellent communication skills in written and oral communication in English

- Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision making skills

- Have the ability to generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives

- Be adept at identification of right performance metrics and assessing progress against them
