Chief Engineer - Maintenance (15-20 yrs)
Our Client builds, manages and operates luxury hotels and residential apartments in Saudi Arabia. We are hiring a professional Maintenance Senior Engineer who will be responsible for the Hard Services and complete upkeep of this prestigious 1000+ room hotel with other amenities and facilities.
Key Responsibilities will be:
- Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
- Communicate with Housekeeping, Front Office and HODs to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas
- Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property
- Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations
- Prepare Capital and Repairs & Maintenance budgets for Engineering
- Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives
- To ensure the implementation of whole hotel fire life safety to comply to safety standards and preventive maintenance schedule and checklist.
Candidate Knowledge/Skills:
- 15-20 years similar role with a prominent Hotel Chain operating over 1000 guest rooms and other facilities.
- Knowledge of Automated building management system, work request systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems etc. Knowledge of statutory compliances related to electrical fittings, boilers etc.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, fit out and related equipment and working knowledge of all other plant, equipment and utilities.
- Energy & environment conservation techniques.
- The role will require knowledge of current legislation - Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, licensing and Employment Law, will have an understanding of finance and commercial awareness.
- Ability to anticipate, excellent communicator, flexibility and responsiveness. Thorough and methodical, resourceful and physical resilience. Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong experience in leadership and delegation, with effective communication skill. Will be required to have a clear grasp of planning and organization, with proven ability in recruiting, training and motivating technical staff and Team Members
- Proficient in spoken and Written English. Ability to speak Hindi/Urdu, Arabic and any other regional languages.
Gulf Experience an advantage but not essential.
