Chartered Accountant - FMCG

Statutory Compliance which includes:

- Sales Tax Compliance/Service Tax Compliance

- Monitoring Tax Deducted at Source (detailed knowledge of Income Tax laws is a must)

- Storage Licenses for materials at Branch

- Laws and procedures pertaining to Octroi duty

- ESIC, PF and other relevant labour laws.

Monitoring Costs w.r.t:

- Ensuring greater accuracy of the Budgeting process across the region

- Developing suitable mechanisms for monitoring Budget v/s Actual on a monthly basis across the region

- Monitoring other critical areas like Damaged Stocks (at the regional level), recoveries from C&F agents, input expenditure, branch advertising, Capex etc.

- Responsible for handling GCS Control Standard for the Unit.

- Closing of Financial P&L + Balance Sheet Dashboard on or before 2nd day of every month.

Ensuring Basic monitoring and controls on Sales Promotion Schemes like:

- Gift, Trip and Credit note schemes for the distributor network in the region

- Ensuring compliance with relevant IT laws for the assessment of these schemes and coordination with the central authorities on the same.

- Follow up with the concerned units in the region on the same.

- Establishing, negotiating and drawing up C&F and rent agreements for the respective units in the region. Also monitoring service and efficiency parameters of the CFA agency.

- Assist Units with all Compliance Activities in case of shifting in the region

- Preparing Statutory Compliance Reports

Assessing the Propriety of Accounts at the Branch in terms of:

- Checking all concerned Documents like bills, advances, deposits, receipts, personal accounts, tour accounts and correctness of accounting entries wrt TDS

- Monitor and Improve Reconciliation of Distributor Accounts, Freight movement across the region

- Computer Expertise: Should be fully conversant with SAP, MS Office packages.
