Business Manager for International School of Hyderabad

Main purpose of role :

- Manage HR functions.

- To manage the operational business of the School, servicing the Board and its committees and producing financial reports as required.

- The Business Manager is the chief financial officer of the school, the senior administrator responsible for fiscal oversight of the school, and the day-to-day management of the Business Office.

- The Business Manager is charged with ensuring that the financial affairs of the school are conducted in a manner consistent with the School's mission, principles and policies, and long-range goals as prescribed by the school Board and strategic Plan.

- The Business Manager is a member of the management team, working closely with the Head of School, the School Principals, the Admissions Office and Finance team. He or she reports directly to the Head of School.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Master's degree in Finance and a minimum of 8-10 years experience in a management position, out of which, at last 3-5 years should be in a supervisory position.

- He/She should be an experienced HR, administrator with experience in preparing budgets, ensuring performing financial analysis etc.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Provide direct supervision of Business Office ensuring that policies and procedures are appropriate, documented and adhered to

- Prepare the school's yearly operational and capital budgets, monitor them, conduct variance analysis, initiate and track corrective actions

- Managing the overall accounting operations of the school, including timely closure of monthly accounts, monthly financial information and indicators to the Head of School

- Institutionalize a strong system of internal control

- Preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with internal and external auditors

- Act as advisor to the Head of School on the school budget and all other business and financial issues

- Ensure sound management of the school's resources including investments, cash and fixed assets

- Analyze the School's financial management and recommend improvements in procedure, organization and utilization of financial management tools and resources

- Supervise the collection, safekeeping and distribution of all funds. Correspond with local authorities with respect to specific business operations ( eg. Income tax, MEA, FRRO etc)

- Supervise all business office personnel and assist in recruiting, screening, hiring, assigning, supervising and evaluating personnel for business office positions

- Supervision of the Human Resources Manager

- Monitor the Salaries/benefits package

- Participate in meetings of the Board (as needed)

- Assure that the school is in legal and financial compliance regarding all contractual and other obligations.

- Ensuring compliance with the various legislative and regulatory requirements affecting the school and its activities

- Liaise and co-ordinate as necessary for school registration, with government agencies and other agencies.

- Assure that personnel policies and procedures are appropriate, documented and adhered to

- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required
