Company Description:

Citizens Foundation for Better India is a not-for-profit foundation, initiated by a group of spirited professionals who had formed Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG). CAG has been credited for redefining campaigning in India during the General Elections earlier this year through its innovative nation-wide initiatives especially by leveraging technology in a way unknown to that domain.

CFBI's members come from top global firms such as JP Morgan, BCG, Goldman Sachs, etc., having completed their education from the finest institutions in India & abroad, such as IITs, IIMs, Harvard, Stanford, Imperial College etc. We share a common passion for creating positive social impact at the grassroots level.

The Foundation aims to improve the overall quality of life by implementing sustainable solutions through collaborative actions at scale. The focus will be on evidence-backed solutions in domains of Education, Health, Livelihood, and Community Service. These domains are the bedrock of indicators like Human Development Index (HDI) and therefore a natural choice for our operations.

Job Description:

Project Planning:

- Define the scope of the project in consultation with stakeholders (internal/external)

- Create a detailed workplan which sequences activities needed to successfully complete the project

- Define the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

- Recruit, interview & select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities

Stakeholder Management:

- Manage and influence stakeholders in the interest of the organization to drive positive project outcomes

- Serve as the central point of contact for all communication directed from external stakeholders and ensure appropriate follow-up action

Project Execution:

- Oversee the development and execution of project deliverables and lead project planning, budgeting, action planning and monitoring processes. E.g. determine the resources (time, money, people, etc.) required to complete the project

- Lead and motivate the project team, and ensure proactive communication internally as well as externally

- Monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work with external parties (consultants, volunteers etc.) in the project. E.g. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates resources to the activities

- Track the project activities on a real time basis, provide periodic updates to leadership team and in consultation, revise if required

- Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results. E.g. Dealing with vendors (suppliers & contractors), managing field resources

- Troubleshoot project problems. Identifies and implements creative solutions. E.g. Provide operational assistance, problem identification and resolution

Capability Development:

- Share best-practices/innovations across the organization. Ensure continuous & smooth knowledge transfer

- Monitor the individual performance of each project member/staff and provide effective & timely feedback

- Identify the skill gaps in team and communicate the same to designated individuals for taking action
