Qualification : L.L B / Masters in Labour Law Management

Years of Experience: 10 - 12 years

Job Scope /Summary:

The person will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the legal department, provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Structuring the potential contracts at all India level keeping in view the business interests and regulatory environment.

- Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate course of action have been taken.

- Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.

- Responsible for legal and commercial advisory on contractual and corporate legal issues.

- Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and management, thereof to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.

- Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions and prepare and advise on the necessary check lists to be adopted to ensure information is submitted on time.

- Formulate legal policies and strategies and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures pertaining to India.

- Review the draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.

- Ensure effectiveness of company's employment agreements.

- Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers.

- Monitor governmental new levied rules and regulations that may impact company's activities, taking precautionary actions and keeping management updated.

- Review the company's position with regard to local laws and regulations, monitor changes, advise the senior management on their implications and ensure full compliance.

- Draft and review other routine contracts using standardized formats as far as possible.

- Draft commercial agreements between the company and third party.

- Identify risks and suggest ways of risk mitigation by comprehending to the business environment.

- Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advice management accordingly.

- Serve as a one stop shop to meet the company's legal and commercial requirements.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
