Key responsibilities include:
- Fully own and report on the growth and profitability performance of an eCommerce venture in Nigeria, in line with Group's ambitious and very fast-paced strategy
- Manage relationships with all external stakeholders (suppliers, local regulators, press and media etc.) and become the external face of the venture
- Attract, develop and inspire the teams, in particular the local Sales and Operations teams
- Build the best team of professionals in Nigeria by attracting outstanding talents and creating an unparalleled environment for your team's development
- Fully collaborate with the group of MDs in Nigeria and across Africa
- Ensure full legal compliance of operations in Nigeria
A successful candidate will fulfill the following requirements:
- At least 10-12 years of professional experience in Strategic Consulting and/or Executive Management in Retail / E-commerce
- Medium to long-term commitment in Nigeria (3 to 5 year minimum)
- Passion for e-commerce and Africa with strong entrepreneurial skills
- Natural ability to lead and motivate teams
- Impeccable communication skills, including ability to negotiate in flawless English
- MBA preferred
