Language and Learning Foundation was founded in 2015 with the objective of building capacity of teachers and teacher educators in Early Grade Reading. We believe in high quality content and elementary technology as agents of change in transforming the classroom practice of thousands of teachers across India. Our vision is for all children to have strong foundational skills and abilities of language and literacy, thinking and reasoning. Based on this strong foundation, all children learn and grow to their full potential.

Position Summary

LLF is seeking to hire a dynamic, committed individual who is passionate about early literacy to lead operations of the organization, and grow our impact to 10,000 stakeholders in the next three years. The Manager, Operations will be based in New Delhi and will work closely with our Executive Director, Dhir Jhingran, our strategic advisors, and programme team.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Work with Executive Director and core team to develop an operational plan for LLF's activities and monitor its implementation

- Drive operational efficiency across all organizational verticals

- Design and manage HR processes including recruitment, induction, ongoing professional development and performance management

- Lead the organization's communication efforts, including with government partners, and represent LLF at key events

- Work with Executive Director and program staff to develop and manage organizational budget, as well as providing support on fundraising and donor reporting

- Supervise administration and accounting including tax, expense management, FCRA (in conjunction with the CA)

- Oversee operations of State implementation projects

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of managerial experience, Master's Degree Preferred

- Prior work experience in the education sector strongly preferred

- Ability to design and execute strong program operations to scale an organization's activities and expand its impact

- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience in building & managing relationships with government stakeholders

- Strong communication skills, fluency in English and Hindi; strong reading and writing skills in Hindi preferred

- Excellent project management, financial management and planning skills

- Experience of fundraising (including CSR funds) and working with donors strongly preferred
