CEB - Quant Analyst Legal/Risk & Compliance Practice (0-2 yrs)

The Legal, Risk and Compliance Practice aims to hire Quant Analyst, and is currently accepting applications. The selected incumbent will be part of the FIN LRC Quant Team addressing cutting-edge strategic issues facing today's senior-most finance member executives at leading, global corporations. The practice provides excellent exposure to the full range of topics related to Audit, Compliance and Ethics, Legal, Data Privacy and Risk Management and provides the opportunity for Analyst to develop their understanding of financial concepts.

The Quant Analyst position is for individuals interested in conducting data-driven research and analysis- the foundation for any data science, strategic planning or research-oriented career. Analysts enjoy exposure to the full array of strategic data work: data management and processes; benchmarking and norming surveys; predictive modeling; proprietary research exercises; and increasingly Big Data tools and techniques focused on peeling apart ideas in search of insight.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Analyzing and interpreting business problems using root cause analysis, hypothesis generation, survey design, benchmarking, and other qualitative and quantitative methods.

- Supporting and/or managing key research deliverables, including but not limited to: large research studies, white papers, case studies, presentations and webinars, guidebooks, templates, roundtable discussions, or custom, in-bound research requests.

- Analyzing large, complex, disparate data sets to identify actionable insights for senior executives

- Assisting with large-scale data collection efforts through administration of multi-national panel surveys

- Building benchmark and other standardized data reports for members with simple and insightful graphics

- Employing analytical tools, such as root cause analysis, to identify the drivers of members' business problems and to create hypotheses regarding solutions

- Communicating and presenting analytical insights to internal stakeholders

- Partnering with internal stakeholders to use proprietary data for additional new products and services

Required skills:

- Training in disciplines with a strong quantitative component, including Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics

- Exceptional record of academic achievements

- Proficiency with basic statistical concepts

- Proficiency in at least one statistical software package (R, Stata, SPSS, etc.)

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point

- Original/creative thinking and superior problem solving abilities

- Strong writing skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Detail-oriented and strong commitment to high quality results to serve needs of CEB members and internal partners

- Self-motivated/self-starter approach to projects

- Programming or advanced statistical skills a strong plus.

Ideal candidates will possess one or more of the following:

- Experience programming in VBA and/or HTML and general experience with web applications.

- Exposure to Vovici, or other online survey programming platforms

- Understanding of survey design and/or have previous experience with market research or benchmark surveys

- Basic comprehension of database design/maintenance

- Advanced degree in statistics, economics, or other analytics-oriented field
