Category Manager - eCommerce Startup (1-4 yrs)
Founded by a former Google employee with experience in building global products and running sales across Asia, the company is an ecommerce company specializing in B2B procurement of industrial products. The business model of the company got further validation when Mr. Ratan Tata picked up a stake in it.
- It has also raised a pre-Series A funding from Accel Partners and Jungle Ventures. The funds are being used to enhance the technology platform, build a deep supplier base as well as increase marketing spends across Asia.
Key Responsibilities :
- Managing the entire P&L and Marketing of the Category.
- Setting up the team that will be reporting into you.
- Deciding the pricing and discount schemes that need to be implemented.
- Focusing on enhancing product assortment,brand engagement through market intelligence, consumer insight, competitive analysis and innovative marketing campaigns
- Responsible for development of promotion plan through multiple channels (Display Ads, SEO, Affiliatesetc.) in liaison with the Marketing team, to grow market share, improving customer experience and drivinggrowth
- Key Account Management, building the seller network, addressing their issues.
- Responsible for Translating Business Needs Into Technical Requirements.
- Accountable for handling the business strategy, promotions, product development and growth of the Category
- Actively involve in building a reference catalogue and set up a process for catalogue building in co-ordination with publishers and vendors.
- Tasked with Management of Order Fulfilment, Turn Around Time, Logistics & Customer Care.
Candidate Profile :
- E-Commerce Experience and Business Process Building
- Excellent understanding of System architectures and Business functional concepts
- Experience in Category Management and Merchandising Management
- Business Strategy and Cross Functional capacity
- Achievement orientation with an adherence to time lines.
- Project Implementation and Product Domain Expertise
- Retail Domain Knowledge and knowledge of ERP systems
- Stock Management and Project documentation
