Catastrophe Modeller - Actuarial

I am looking for catastrophe modellers for my client based in Chennai.

Graduate / Post Graduate in Actuarial science/ Statistics/ Mathematics / Economics with 1-3 years of experience in Insurance/ Risk Management, Statistics and Data Analysis may apply.

The detailed JD of the position is mentioned below:

KRA: explanatory

- Copy the unit databases from FTP folder to CCMU folder and attach it to the CCMU sql server.

- Run sql queries and prepare the PML\Policy AAL comparison sheets for the unit.

- Assist preparing the limits and data quality exhibits for the various quarterly report

- Prepare PML\Policy AAL exhibits, loss analysis - knowledge of overall unit PML expectations and make comments on loss changes

- Prepare Limits\Grisk exhibits for the Cat accumulation report and update the exhibit on the reports.

- Provide data to brokers for reinsurance analysis.

- Send the quarterly PML losses of peril/region and Data quality top 50 to all the unit cat managers

- Assist in generating PML and TCE figures using Grisk

- Contribute towards event loss estimation

- Work on adhoc tasks with reasonable support from the Senior analyst

- Handles client requests and performs work with little assistance.

- Reviews results for accuracy and saves information in appropriate folder (additional reviews done by Senior Analysts as needed).

- Contacts client for clarifications or other queries via e-mail or telephone.

- Possess basic knowledge of SQL, MS Access and have ability to work with databases.

- Follows all procedures of the deliverables.

- Participates in any CCMU technical training provided by the client
