Title : Product Manager - Mobile Apps

Reporting to : Senior Vice President - Product Management

Location : Chennai

Role Overview :

- Have a keen eye on the consumer's needs and expectations with respect to online jewellery shopping.

- Actively drive formal and informal research and collate customer feedback and present the customer's point of view to all internal stakeholders. Be the primary voice of the customer in the company.

- You will be responsible for the definition and execution of the product strategy for the business unit's mobile products. You will lead work with internal business and technology teams, as well as relevant external stakeholders.

- You will collaborate with business development, marketing, technology and legal to identify market opportunities, develop product roadmaps and implementation plans, and then ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality, market-leading suite of online and mobile products and services.

- The product manager will own all aspects of the online offering from defining the app to working with the developers to get a team to build and maintain all the digital offerings.

Key responsibilities :

- Managing entire product lifecycle from planning the strategic bets to writing specs for the features/functionalities & working with the engineering team to deliver the product releases

- Working with the UX & UI designers to build & deliver top notch online e-commerce experiences

- Prioritizing ambiguous requirements and then providing clarity to the engineering team on the objectives

- Ability to do deep data analysis and to provide valuable insights which shape the future course of the product

- Benchmark competitive experiences and define & implement a roadmap of improvements that ensure CaratLane's leadership in each of its categories

- Qualitative and quantitative analytics and testing to improve the experience of the website and mobile apps.

- Conversations with customers to elicit their feedback & incorporate feedback into the product

- Measure and analyze product metrics, customer needs, and business opportunities to shape our products' feature set and improve user experience

- Create and maintain product roadmaps that incorporate customer and business partner feedback and support the business unit's strategic initiatives

- Lead the product management team and handle day-to-day management of the product portfolio including critical issue resolution

- Create presentations and supporting documents to facilitate communication across all teams

- Ability to write detailed specifications for engineering and following through to make sure the implementation matches the spec

- Developing and implementing an online go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute

- Champion various initiatives to drive contribution towards innovation from across the organization.

Key Result Areas :

- Deliver against the strategic roadmap to support the company's growth plans

- Coordinate rapid, smooth, and successfully iterative product launches in close collaboration with Development, User Experience, Marketing and Business stakeholders :

- Improve conversion and experience of the product.

- Create innovative and differentiated product features on the web and mobile

Desired Skills & Experience :

- 2-4 years of experience in Product Management for a web/consumer mobile app.

- MBA from a Tier 1 institute.

- Prior software development experience is desired.

- Take full ownership for assigned tasks and independently take them to closure.

- Meticulous planning and execution with attention to detail.

- Strong numbers orientation

- Strong sense of aesthetics and UX

- Self-driven, ability to plan and execute in ambiguous / limited data availability situations

- High speed of execution and quick but collaborative decision making.

- Ability to indirectly influence various teams without direct control, to deliver the necessary product feature set.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Knowledge of online marketing concepts across SEM/SEO/eDMs/Banners/Affiliates/Facebook etc.
