Capgemini - Procurement Head - BPO/Enterprise (13-18 yrs)
Role: Head of Procurement
Work Location: Kolkata
Experience level : 12 – 18yrs
Principal Accountabilities
Process:
- Understands the fundamental principles and policies with the area of expertise.
Has good knowledge of the process, policies and desk top procedures within their engagement including:
- Client company background, corporate culture etc.
- Policies and Procedures Manual
- Process training
- System training
- Has knowledge of the client’s business area they support
Has a good understanding of the following areas:
- Documentation and Legal aspects of Procurement
- Materials Management and Logistics
- Negotiations awareness
- X-cultural awareness in Procurement
- Ensures control and compliance regulations are followed
- Is able to drive GPM alignment within the area of expertise
- Drives GPM development within the expert community
- Drives performance improvement by applying best in practice standards and innovative process improvement methodologies
Operates as Subject Matter Expert in the following areas:
- Definition of Procurement
- Procurement organization
- Role of procurement within the Source-to-Pay process
- Closed loop procurement
- Technology supporting procurement – overview
- Glossary of frequently used terms
Technology:
- Has good command of the functionalities of the technology used for the delivery of services in the specific client context (eProcurement systems, spot-buy and e-sourcing tools, query management tools)
- Understands the advantages and limitations of the technology used for the delivery of services in the specific client context
- Provides highly advanced expertise of trends and technology solutions
- Has excellent knowledge of technological products and solutions available on the market and has strong awareness of their strengths and weaknesses
- Promotes the application of CG BPO Platform approach in the client context
Commercial & Sales:
- Manages business service portfolio accepted with the client
- Performs clients negotiations to drive profitability of the services
- Ensures there is widespread understanding of the scope obligations within the team and scope extensions are properly managed contractually
- Drives the continuous improvement culture within the delivery team to drive productivity
- Capable of delivering contribution margin at budget or above levels
- Drives the account development agenda for the particular engagement

- Is able to articulate Capgemini offerings and products
- Works with marketing team to enhance external marketing materials where appropriate
People Management:
- Communicates and cascades required strategic plans & actions and manages their execution and outcomes

- Has the presence and confidence to take a leadership role in critical client situations
