Job Description & Purpose:	  - This position is responsible for driving country operations and budget achievement through timely decision making and planning supported by an in-depth analysis of key drivers.  Key Responsibilities:	  - Create strategic and operational plan for the business over the short and medium and long term.  - Ensure achievement of top line and bottom line budget / target while keeping in mind:  - Sales and profitability for Auto business  - Product category planning and achievement  - Cost management at all levels  - Analyze each business category for productivity and manage the portfolio effectively  - Carry out active business development and support the business vertical heads in the same  - Ensure compliance with legal and fiscal requirements of the country and also the management  - Ensure adequate development and deployment of key talent in the country  - Attract talent  - Retain talent   Desired Profile:	  - Experience of 15+ years in country operations (primarily sales & marketing) in countries within Africa. Would prefer individuals that have exposure to other functions like SCM and Finance in addition to S&M.   Educational Qualifications:	  - Prefer MBAs  Competencies and Traits:	  - Effective communicator (oral, written, presentation and listening)  - Analytical ability for decision making (understanding and resolving problems, data collation and analysis)  - Planning and organizing skills (time management, eye for detail, coordination and follow up)  - Interpersonal skills for networking strength in networking is critical  - Business acumen (understanding of business processes and financial matrices)  - At ease with basic IT tools  - Drive for results (ensure closure and clear road-blocks)  - Proactive  Reports To:	  - Executive Director: Auto and Allied  Reportees:	  - Functional heads in the operations and administrative reporting of other heads  - A leading MNC into Trading business of diverse products.
