Business Head- Ecommerce

Looking for Business Head for an Ecommerce company, typically from Retail/ FMCG/ Consumer Durables/Consulting background

Candidates must have strong educational background, looking for MBA from tier1 colleges like IIMs, XLRI, XIM,NMIMS,FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, GIM, IITs, NITIE, ISB and so on

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the business P& L

- Merchandising and Sales strategy and new product introduction and expansion of product portfolio.

- Build and fortify the business model : Go deep, understand where opportunities are and chase them.

- Know the customer : Research customer behavior, develop customer insights, know more about the customer than the customer

- Sense the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.

- Brands and Vendor network management & operations

- Ownership of all category specific marketing activities

- Deliverable include sub category-wise traffic, conversions, customer base & revenues

- Work with online & offline marketing, category & website teams to conceptualize and implement initiatives for category freshness

- Building category level shopper understanding and gaining deeper insights

- Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, competitive signals,etc. Drive necessary promotions

- Identify the growth areas and new business scope within the existing category

People leadership :

- Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions

- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals

Desired background :

- Educational background should be from premier institutes, Engineering +MBA

- 7 to 10 relevant years of work experience, 3-4 years in P&L roles and 3-5 years in a premier FMCG, Retail or eCommerce company.

- Knowledge of Retail, consumer goods industry, online industry

Desired Competencies :

- Desire and ability to think like the customer

- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion

- Highly analytical

- Willing to take risks to grow the category in a rapid pace

- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of technology and business

- Must be willing to learn nd unlearn

- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels

- Are excited about lingerie
