Business Head - Consulting (10-18 yrs)

1. Business/Market Development

- Responsible for double digit revenue growth on an annual basis by identifying new opportunities including new client identification, new channels and new segments

- Maintain active relationships within the industry in order to leverage appropriate market influencers and provide guidance on company positioning.

- Responsible for achieving top line market share and revenue and brand objectives.

2. Resource Management

- Collaborate with the product development teams to facilitate product research, marketing and pricing.

- Accomplish objectives by collaborating with the product development team to establish plans, budgets and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress making mid course corrections.

- Prepare business plan on business design, structure, process and operating plan and financial model.

3. General Management

- Promote an organizational culture and structure that fosters cooperation, communication, collaboration, team work and trust.

- Provide executive leadership to the organization, taking accountability for the direction of PCTA India.

- Update management on business process and operating plan and financial model and profitability.

- Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations and employees enforcing ethical business practices.

- Collaborate with other Pearson groups in India and the product lines within Pearson Clinical Assessment.

4. Sales Management

- Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research, and brand strategy.

- Periodically review distributor performance and check on gaps in performance and seek reasons and actionable steps to close the gaps.

- Conduct regular meetings with distributors and sales team to discuss target status, product training and sales strategy.

5. Team Management

- Create a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy

- Establish individual goals and objectives for each staff member and develop tools to measure achievement.

- Increase effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies and objectives, assigning accountabilities; planning monitoring and appraising job results, developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.

6. People management Responsibilities:

- Manage the allocation of 30-40 local specialists within the country and provide line management responsibility to 5-6 direct reports including; setting performance targets, monitoring performance & providing development opportunities

- Works collaboratively with all enabling functions like HR, Finance with shared decision making for the benefit of the business at large.

Experience: 10+ years in a sales leadership / business development / general management roles

5 + years of work experience in North America or Western Europe.

Experience selling to and managing corporate accounts.

Education: Master Degree/MBA/PhD/PsyD/EdD
