Require Business--Audio Tools for one of the leading media organizations based in Delhi.

Ideally a person from the Telecom / FMCG domain from a premier B School.

Business Head ( Audio Tools)

Audio tools are experts in Audio entertainment and production of voice based content for mobile VAS services. It also specializes in creating customized radio feeds for retailers and corporates across India.

It provides turnkey solutions across five product verticals i.e Telecom VAS/InStore Radio/Corporate Radio/ Digital Distribution / Audio Production

Business Head

Responsible for the profit and loss for the vertical.

Responsible for revenue, overall business strategy and running the vertical as a financially independent business unit

Direct- 5; Overall team size - 15

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility - Deliver on P&L as per plan

Tasks

- Develop and implement business strategy across the three revenue streams of Mobile VAS, Instore Radio and Content Monitization

- Overall revenue responsibility;

- Implement and execute the revenue and content plan

- Develop the product and content strategy for Mobile VAS along with the creative team and liase and develop strong relations with key client operators

- Scale up the Instore business by increasing the network of stores and increasing advertising revenues from key clients

- Develop the model for the content monetization business for domestic and global markets

- Scan the environment to gain insights into competitor strategies, potential business opportunities and market trends

- Plan and manage profitability as per plans

- Plan and manage costs within budget Optimize client relationships

- Plan and manage marketing, PR and branding activity

Performance standards

Deliver:

- Overall Revenue

- Profitability

- Ensure operational costs do not exceed budgeted levels

- Collections

- Grow client count

- Drive inorganic and organic growth

Responsibility

Talent/Staff Management

Tasks

- Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

- Provide coaching and regular one-on-one meetings for staff.

- Establish accountability for achieving results through entire sales team.

- Set stretch goals aimed at developing the business skills and competencies

- Manage all aspects of reward and recognition necessary to reinforce and communicate important messages about performance and organization direction and values

Responsibility Integral member of the Management Team

Tasks

- Work with senior management team to develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making; and, ensure the overall health and vitality of the vertical.

- Help make sure that the Company’s philosophy; mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.

- Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from the Company’s key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services and the Company’s relevance.

- Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the Company.

- Leads and encourages involvement from others in staff meetings.

Clients: Agencies, Advertisers, Institutions Develop key relationships across clients and agencies

Maintain and develop new business with clients and agencies to attract their desired demographic.

Function effectively with all key stakeholders - major advertisers, VAS Operators etc

Present professionally to major corporations/institutions

External media As and when required

Internal

Station Heads - Work closely to plan the most effective sales strategy for all sales from the stations.

Executive Management - Regular updates and meetings with Executive Management

Programming and Marketing - Regular meetings and updates with Marketing to drive activities that help promote brand building and increase sales

Unique Knowledge & Skill Requirement

- Strong management skills to drive business results

- Strong technological bent of mind

- Good understanding of new age media

- Strong national client relationships in any or all: Telecom, Large Retail format stores, Automotive; Adult Beverage, Beverage, Entertainment, Music, CPG, Pharmaceutical, Leisure, Apparel, Foot Wear; Financial Services, Luxury Goods and others.

- Good with meeting and exceeding targets.

- Ability to work in concert with the interactive group when required

- A person who enjoys building other executives to succeed in a dynamic environment

- Successful track record of delivering business results

- A strong understanding of the India & global markets as it relates to all kinds of business models taking place in the domain

- Strong communication skills to gain consensus internal and external

- Self-motivated, proactive, strong work ethic. Intelligent strategic thinker.

- Creative business person who takes advantage of opportunities. A person who can also create their own compelling opportunities for clients and the Company

- Time management and financial skills.

Profile

Qualification - Education & Experience

MBA from Premier institute. 10-15 years of experience in sales and marketing and around 2-3 years of handling a P&L responsibility.

Proven track record of high performance; Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to strategize and execute; ability to lead and build a team.
