Title : Business Economist - Transport & Mobility

Job Responsibilities :

- Provide insightful analysis of evolving customer trends (rural and urban, b2b drivers),commodity prices, policy and regulatory changes at the global/national/state/housheold level relevant to AD busines verticals.

- Mapping evolving trends in (rural and urban) household/sme incomes/expenditure/demand for 2W/3W/PVs/LCVs with a view to supporting the product development, marketing and sales strategies of these businesses

- Identifying and mapping activity and investment trends across key industries at the national/state and district level that lead demand for HCVs/CE in India ( and relevant markets abroad- )

- Setting out the 'state of play' with respect to Transport and Logistics Policies in India (existing structure, policy complex, cross state restrictions, inter and intra state variations, etc), highlighting key policy hurdles, recommendations and changes that flow therefrom (impact of GST for example)

- Keeping close tabs on domestic and international trends in energy markets and prices (crude, petrol-diesel, bio fuels, renewable energy); highlighting and analyzing policy changes and key drivers impacting/likely to impact this complex

- Summary reports on current (global/domestic) price trends and outlooks for key metals (distilling detailed reports from various sources into effective, bullet point, presentations)

- Understand, guide and support econometric analyses relating to the above

- Regular updates that cover key news, research findings, policies and regulatory changes (local and global) relevant to the businesses

Desired candidate should have :

- B.E. plus post Economics at the post graduate level (an MBA added on thereafter, would be a plus)

- 10-12 years relevant work experience in a client facing role as an analyst/consultant/researcher at an automotive OEM or research institute

- Reasoning and analytical ability, Strong conceptual skills;

- Detail orientation

- Leadership skills that enable leading cross-functional teams comprised of members from across a range of business verticals
