Salary: CTC up to INR 700,000 per annum

Cambridge English Language Assessment is a part of Cambridge Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge. We provide exams in English for speakers of other languages taken by over 4 million candidates worldwide each year, as well as the leading range of qualifications for language teachers.

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager (Schools), South India role based in our office in Chennai, to support our dynamic, growing organisation, whilst furthering your career in English language assessment.

We have already built up strong sales and marketing culture overseas. We are now making a step change to achieve further growth in a fiercely competitive market, to get closer to our customers and offer a faster and better service. This involves new structures and processes but also changes to business culture. You will deliver those changes working closely with the Senior Manager Business Development (Schools) and colleagues in this region, formulating and implementing global strategies as we move from a UK organisation with offices overseas to a completely international organisation with its HQ in Cambridge.

You will drive the schools business forward in the region by providing strong and inspiring leadership to a team of consultants working with a complex and extensive network of examination centres and preparation centres to achieve challenging targets. You will also develop strategic relationships and partnerships leading to significant new business as well as ensuring the maintenance and development of existing key accounts. You will ensure the test centre network in the territory is adequate to enable growth. Where there are weaknesses, to identify and develop new centres and partnerships and work closely with Network Services, supporting the performance of existing centres.

You will have a relevant graduate qualification, be proactive in your approach, and passionate about the educational opportunities unlocked by access to international certification. Confident communication and presentation skills are essential as well as the ability to develop on-going relationships with our stakeholders. You need to be extremely fluent in English. You will be experienced in developing, motivating and leading teams.

Contracts of employment will be subject to local terms and conditions.
