Business Development Manager - IT Products - Banking Domain (7-14 yrs)

We are hiring Business Development Managers for a IT services and product development company based at Bangalore

Summary of Position:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for penetrating into existing customer accounts, grow each account anywhere from 1MM to 5MM revenue. You should have demonstrated the capability to manage multiple accounts up to 5MM in revenue. You need to develop, define, negotiate, and close new business deals/ relationships. You need to focus 75% of time on existing accounts growth and 25% on identifying new customers and opportunities.

Reports to: CEO

Key Responsibilities:

- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts

- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers- expectations

- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts

- Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones

- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings

- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential customers; discovering and exploring opportunities.

- Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.

- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations

Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in the software industry, with at least 3+ years of proven experience in business development activities for IT products in banking domain

- Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business "by the numbers". Must be metrics-driven

- Proven track record of success selling in a highly competitive environment

- Ability to create and communicate a compelling vision to senior executives, with capability to leverage logic, experience, facts, data, and passion to influence others

- Experience in business development for Fortune 500 clients

- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly

- Experience using Microsoft Excel to do analysis and reporting

- Proven domain expertise in Financial Services

- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is preferred
