Business Development Manager (Bangalore, India)

We are seeking a Business Development Manager, who will be responsible for taking an important role in the development of our web and mobile advertising business with 3rd party publishers, developers and advertising exchanges/networks.

- In this role, you will contribute to our display advertising inventory acquisition strategy, maintain the relationship with key partners, support company’s advertising initiatives, and have the opportunity to shape next generation advertising program.

Responsibilities:

- Take part in defining the vision and go-to-market strategy for our display advertising and publisher partnership efforts.

- Assist in hiring a high-performing Business Development and Account Management team

- Learn about company’s advertising programs in India, determine the right targeting to reach our ideal customer base, and optimize partnerships and campaigns to reach monetization and efficiency objectives

- Identify strategic partner prospects, prepare and participate in negotiations, analyze suggested terms, and manage relationships from start to finish

- Drive consensus within the leadership team on overall strategy, roadmap and deliverables

- Work closely with product management and engineering leaders to scope and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with our long-term objectives; ensure we are prioritizing the right initiatives

- Translate market feedback into product requirements, and collect data and information to guide our strategies

- Serve as the main India Display Advertising point of contact and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to coordinate our overall display advertising plans and initiatives

Basic Qualifications Requirements:

- Strong business development and negotiation skills with the ability to initiate relationships, assess partnership viability, work through long deal cycles.

- Excellent analytical and planning abilities to design and oversee programmatic business development efforts targeting partners based in India for the company

- Track record of successful online display advertising and media buying negotiations to meet/exceed profitability, customer acquisition and engagement goals

- Proven ability to own complex, strategic partnerships with industry leading organizations

- Team player with strong persuasion skills able to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders, able to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, small team environment

- Must be technically competent and have a strong understanding of online advertising and display technologies, including third-party ad-servers

- Data driven and “quantitative” mentality with an ability to back up ideas with facts or examples

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to speak effectively to any audience

- Established career in this field with proven experience in the online and/or mobile advertising industry

Preferred Qualifications:

- Fluency in English

- MBA is a must
