Business Development Manager - Fashion & Lifestyle - eCommerce (6-9 yrs)

This is for a Series B funded, Women's only fashion marketplace eCommerce client, expanding its foot print across India. We are looking for a self motivated and energetic BDM with a min of 7-9 years- experience in the retail sector focusing on the women's apparel and accessories category. They must have excellent vendor relationships and have an eye for fashion trends and styles. Excellent negotiation skills are required. We are looking for someone who has a strong track record and can work under pressure and in a team environment.

Main Responsibilities

- Present the company to the Fashion Brands in the market

- Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery terms, and markdowns)

- Manage inventory levels with input from merchandise planning team

- Present new category recommendations regularly to Merchandising Manager (financials, reasoning/trends and future plans)

- Develop vendor financial plans (profitability targets, markup and receipt flow)

- Keep abreast of industry trends and new product ideas

- Build strong relationships with vendors

- Forecasting business projections & trends, formulating result oriented plans, setting and adherence to budgets/ objectives.

- Analysis the performance of the launched products/ events and formulate future business strategy according.

Financial Responsibilities: Coordinating with various teams to work within budget

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Fashion Designing. Master's degree shall be an added advantage

- 7 - 9 years + of proven track record in Retail space, Ecommerce.

- Good grasp of the fundamentals of business
