Role: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Pune

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

- Responsible for ensuring business acquired is delivered to the fullest satisfaction of the customers and engaging with them for additional businesses

- Manage accounts and meet or exceed targets relating to revenue growth, activities, customer retention and customer acquisition.

- Provide regular feedback to senior management about development related to customers, marketplace and competitor activity

- Develop effective working relationships with customers through regular meetings and identify and obtain further sales and business development opportunities

- Identify requirements for new services to anticipate and potentially lead the market.

- Use project management standards in responding to customer needs and managing the customer engagement process from opportunity identification to MOU sign off.

- Undertake regular project reviews with all involved in these processes to ensure transfer of knowledge

- Work closely with all the stakeholders to ensure the project delivery is as per the goals and timelines agreed upon and proactively engage with them for risk avoidance

- Work closely with Marketing to identify appropriate go to market messaging for specific business sectors and work closely with mobilization teams to ensure student batches are formed on time as per the targets

- Screen all leads for business eligibility before contacting the business.

- Make sales presentation within established organisation guidelines and approved sales script.

- Adhere to, Code of Conduct for Ethics in Business Development.

- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all prospective businesses.

- Maintain an awareness of current and continual changes in the marketplace and within the system to be able to properly screen prospective business opportunities

- Accurately and truthfully explain all benefits and costs to each prospective business and describe the mission and objectives of the offerings.

- Followup and Collect payment from those customers who have signed off the MOU.

Education and/or Experience

- Post Graduate with 10 years related experience in marketing, customer relationship and sales in the services sector; should have proven track record in the use of digital tools for marketing

Language Skills

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

- Reasoning Ability

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office, including PPT, Word, Outlook and Excel.

Digital Skills

Should we well versed with digital marketing and tools used for customer engagement including excellent content writing skills to directly or indirectly participate in the digital campaigns

Physical Demands

The candidate is expected to travel using his/her own transport to locations in and around Pune for meetings with customers and if required occasionally to outstation locations using public transport.
