BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE JOB PROFILE :
- A Leading Financial Service Provider Company is looking to hire a Business Development Associate who will be a part of the team that works on strategic initiatives and projects to address market opportunities and explore growth opportunities.
- The functions of Sales and Marketing are also incorporated in this department.
- The individual is expected to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality as he/she would be privy to matters only known to the Senior Management. As such, one can expect to grow within the department as the Company expands further.
Responsibilities Assumed :
- Analyzing new geographies and service verticals for the Company and helping launch of new services
- Performing research and analysis and working independently on strategic initiatives and providing key insights for appropriate action
- Providing analytical support for identification and evaluation of additional revenue streams and exploring new strategic opportunities
- Identifying and growing client base in the Indian and the International markets in order to meet business objectives and sales targets
- Prospecting and supporting new client acquisition through outbound sales activities and responding to RFPs & RFIs
- Initiating relationships with multi-level decision-makers through phone, emails, and presentations
- Communicating with prospects by familiarizing oneself with Company credentials, various contractual engagements, etc.
- Working on client specific pitch presentations
- Participating in meetings with the Company's Management to establish the requirements of any new project, preparing a proposal, and carrying out research, analysis, and assessment of scenarios and options
- Performing sales analysis and managing a comprehensive pricing and annual sales budget model for effective planning
- Leading and executing special projects including driving standardization and automation initiatives for process improvement and development in the department
- Responsible for market intelligence, industry mapping, competition analysis, and industry benchmarking
- Following trends, changes, competition, and other industry related factors within the country as well as global markets
- MIS reporting to the Senior Management on regular basis
- Managing a team of Analysts and Research Assistants
Prerequisites :
- Eye for detail
- Familiarity with finance and private equity/investment banking industry
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with budgeting process
- Problem-solving and strategic planning ability
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive attitude
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
- Team-orientation with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Commercial awareness and understanding of business environment
Candidate Experience :
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience with a Masters's degree
- MBA/CA/CFA
- Prior experience in consulting firms or experience in a business/corporate planning role preferred
Compensation :
- Commensurate with industry standards
