Business Continuity Management Role - Investment Bank (10-20 yrs)

Experience : 10 - 20 Yrs

Work Location : Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the BCM India team while aligning strategy to the core standards and objectives of the global BCM program

- Engage with senior management and participate in governance committees to effectively deliver BCM

- Provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing, and communicating contingency plans

- Assist the regional head to establish and implement consistent application of policies, concepts, and procedures

- Actively drive and support local, regional, and global managed projects

- Coordinate periodic reviews and tests of established plans and procedures, reporting findings to management and making recommendations for improvements as needed

- Lead the BCM testing program in coverage locations, setting test schedules and tracking status to ensure the required testing is completed as per BCM policy

- Provide leadership, coordinate, and communicate on behalf of the Firm during local, regional, and global potential or actual business impacting events and coordinate engagement and response of the Functional Groups (FG) and Business Units (BUs)

- Participate and assist business units- incident management response

Skills

- Ability to manage and interact with staff at all levels in the Firm

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills

- Strong influencing skills, including ability to articulate complex issues and incorporate feedback

- Ability to actively lead by example

- Self-motivated, proactive, and calm under pressure

- Willingness to learn, develop, and take over new roles and responsibilities when required

- Analytic thinking and procedural working approach

- Proficiency in incident management best practices

- Willingness to occasionally work on weekends and out of business hours when required

Qualifications

- Excellent English fluency (verbal & written) is required

- An undergraduate degree from an accredited university is required; a post-graduate degree is a plus

- 10 or more years of experience in crisis management or related business continuity field

- 5 or more years of managing people and operations in a demanding business environment

- Business continuity coverage experience in the Financial Services, Technology, Service Provider industries, or Management Consulting is a plus

- PC skills: Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

- Certified Business Continuity certification or similar is a plus

- Risk or Technical background a plus
