Business Commercial Manager - CA - Mfg/FMCG

Overall purpose of job:

- To control the commercial function of one of the Company’s Business unit and help the CFO and Business Head to measure performance of the Business Unit. In addition to this the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring controls & compliance of the BU

- Support the Business Head in ensuring the budgeted EBIT and RONA of the BU

- Support the Business Head with full analysis of cost and margins to enable Pricing Decisions

- Thorough review of all elements of cost and exercise full control on the same

- Daily review of selling prices, cost and margins

- Identify and pursue cost reduction / cost saving opportunities

- Regular review of working capital with special focus on Inventories and receivables and strive towards regular reduction in cash cycle days

- Optimization of indirect taxes in the operations of the BU

- Preparation of annual operating budgets, comparison of actual with budgets and identifying and highlighting key variances

- Preparation of long term and short term capital expenditure budgets and ensure that the capex spends are within approved limits

- Critical review of all Capital expenditure proposals, highlighting the impact on RONA

- Ensuring Internal controls and statutory compliance

- Monthly review and reporting of performance of the BU against the budget and PY

- Preparation and Review of MIS on all the aspects of the BU

- Preparation of forecasts on a monthly basis.

- Preparation of Cash Flows and Fund Flows and effective coordination with HO (Treasury ) to ensure availability of funds

Education, qualifications, special training, experience and skills:

- The incumbent should be a Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant with at least 8 years experience in a manufacturing & distribution set up preferably in a FMCG industry. Exposure to ERP environment essential.

Experience in the following areas will be prerequisite for this position:

- Understanding of Indirect taxes like VAT, Service Tax etc.

- Exposure to manufacturing accounting including product / process costing.

- Exposure to Sales accounting

- Good written and spoken English.
