Company: One of the Largest FMCG Company   Position (Designation): Business Application Manager (SAP)  Dept/Division: IT   Grade: Manager  Location: HO, Mumbai  Purpose of the Role:  The Purpose of the role is to use SAP skills and knowledge to deliver solutions in SAP for the new or existing business processes in the company. The role will support the SAP implementation with requisite know-how of SAP tools and technology and business process knowledge and impart this education to the relevant SAP users.  Qualification & Experience:  - ICAI / MBA Finance  - Minimum 4-5 years of Project management experience  - Must have experience as a core team member of at least one SAP implementation  - Experience in setting up and running helpdesks to support SAP implementation including 16* 7 coverage of IT helpdesk  - Knowledge of (SAP FI/CO with integration of MM/SD) or (SAP MM/SD with integration of FI)  Key Deliverables of the Role:  - Leading the SAP interface between IT and business teams and help delivery of finalised projects post correct requirement generation and validation  - Adding significant business value by his/her knowledge of SAP modules, ability to extract the best possible utilization from SAP and interfaced modules and generate / co create solutions  - Handling projects through suitable Project Management Skills including conceptualization till execution of project map.  - Enable key knowledge documentation and training of modules and improve SAP utilization  - Service design and effective implementation of services that would involve setting up support Helpdesks and providing 16 x 7 helpdesks through a team  - Interaction with technical teams and influence development and deployment of applications and ensure quality management in the Project Life Cycle  - He would need to have skills to engage vendors or consultants to supplement Co‘s team.   - Need a good understanding of authorization and other security aspects of SAP.  Key Competencies:  - Ability to benchmark Co‘s implementation with other industries and recommend improvements  - Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations   - Planning and organizational skills   - Good interpersonal skills with users and have a strong orientation for team and personal excellence  - Ability to think through and visualize possible future solutions  - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal   - Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines   - Must be an effective problem solver   - Strong end-end ownership of assignments  - Must be willing to travel on overseas assignments  Reporting Relationships:  - Upwards: Head – IT Applications  - Downwards: Team of internal developers / consultants   Other Key Functional Interfaces:  - Different functions within Co‘s and external vendors or consultants.  Growth Path & Future:  - Candidate will be groomed with relevant knowledge to support entire suite of SAP products.   - Candidate will have a good opportunity to manage other modules in SAP.
