Business Analyst - Supply Chain/Business Analytics (4-10 yrs)

Detailed Responsibilities

- Diligent follow up with sales and marketing teams for forecasting inputs, analyzing the inputs and report them to global planning team through our forecasting tools

- Performs routing RCA on forecast error and bias, identifies underlying trends in sales data and drills down to lowest level to improve forecast accuracy

- Generates periodic MIS for order management, S&OP and other commercial processes

- Works closely with Global / local IS teams to set up data feeds tailored for India requirements

- Identifies gaps in order management tools and works with development team on fixes

- Researches to determine if solutions to India business needs exist within or outside the current ERP scope and work on projects to match ERP functionality accordingly

- Continuous Improvement:

Measures and monitors the effectiveness of operational performance using targeted metrics to identify and prioritize improvements

Promotes successful techniques, processes and tools that could be leveraged across commercial function

Facilitates idea generation and drives changes for processes and tools across business units

Minimum Qualifications / Competencies:

- B.Tech from a reputed institute or Bachelor's degree in a statistical/ data oriented field

- At least 2 years of supply chain analytics / business analytics experience

- Expert level MS Excel Skills - should be comfortable handling broken, unformatted data, extracting data from ERP and converting into meaningful reports of business value

- Well versed with presenting analyses and inferences for management review - both in document and presentation formats

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

- Experience in medical device industry desired, but not mandatory

- MBA or M.Tech in a statistical /data oriented field

- Hands on experience in VBA automation and using analytical tools to gather information / data from a large base of end-users

- MS Excel data linkages through MS Access DB and SQL

Required Behavioral and People Skills:

- A self-starter who is able to work independently

- Curiosity in revealing insights and not just reporting numbers

- Ability to deal with ambiguity; has attention to detail and accuracy

- A strong team player who can engage effectively with a range of stakeholders without direct control / escalation [ navigating through an influence model ]

- An attitude to foster data centric discussions and decisions
