Proven history working in finance, investments, and portfolio management and/or capital markets with specific experience dealing with regulatory changes.
- 4-10 years of experience in Reference Data domain and should have experience in working with SQL (SELECT, JOIN tables), DWH processes and concepts, performance-tuning techniques, etc
- Experience of data vendor providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Datascope, IDC etc
- Understanding of Fixed Income and equity / derivative (options, futures) reference data
- Candidate must be able to communicate clearly with multiple levels of management, both internally and to clients about complex issues, simplifying them into requirements for a development project.
- Oracle PL/SQL skills; thorough understanding of data models and relational database concepts and constructs is a must. .
- Knowledge and exposure to Instrument Reference data
- Ability to understand requirements from clients and write BRDs
- Experience in writing Use cases
- Experience with regulatory projects and an ability to translate regulations into application-specific requirements and to be able to speak with senior business managers about them.
- Work with Business Users/Ops/Clients to discuss and finalize requirement
- Prepare Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents in accordance with standard SLDC business practices
- Perform all levels of data analysis, including data mappings, data feeds, data modelling (both relational and message), and data transformation as related to an Enterprise Environment
- Develop fully defined logical and physical data models as related to assigned task and/or project
- Explain the requirement to Development and QA team
- Guide the team on requirement throughout the lifecycle right from analysis to development to testing to production support
- Participate in triage calls, raise and resolve requirement bugs
- Participate in releases and production roll-outs
- Participate in research to identify effective solutions
- Participate in and provide input into the design, re-design and development
- Support of Development, QA, Ops and downstream consumers during all phases of the delivery
- Analyze and manage change notifications from vendors to understand the functional/data impact of changes to the system
- Ensure functional solution documents align to the strategy of the application
- Providing critical inputs to the WBS structure and during the estimation phases of project planning
- Conducting regular Knowledge Transfer (KT) to development team and enhancing the overall business skills within the group
