Business Analyst - Operational Risk - Risk Consulting Firm (3-6 yrs)
Location - Kolkata

Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Lead and be accountable for all project research stages:
- Learn and formulate a research problem
- Work with technology development team to implement strategies into production
- Work with business partners to articulate strategies and results
- Deliver the project based on agreed timeline
Requirements:
- Masters in quantitative discipline (e.g. maths, statistics, physics)
- Expert with significant relevant experience in ops risk modelling. Banking industry exposure preferred.
- Strong experience working with large data sets and/or distributed computing tools (Maps/Reduce, Hive, etc.)
- Hands on knowledge of integration with Spark or Vertica,
- Fluency with at least one scripting language such as Python or Perl (Preferred)
- Familiarity with R, Distributed R
- Familiarity with a Data Mining toolkits such as WEKA or Mahout
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms
- Finance experience or knowledge - a strong advantage
